* Note: A side letter to the Agreement dated 12/16/2011 states that upon expiration of the 2011-2016 Agreements, employees eligible for longevity payments as of April 1, 2016 and before shall continue to receive them in the event no successor Agreement is in place. Employees who were eligible for a longevity payment in April 2016 shall continue to receive longevity payments in each succeeding April, at the same rate received in April 2016, until a successor Agreement is negotiated. Payments will be made to such employees in April 2017 provided they continue to meet the eligibility criteria. Any employee who becomes eligible for a longevity payment for the first time after April 1, 2016 will not receive payment until a successor Agreement is negotiated.
** Note: Due to the expiration of the previous contract (2011-2016), Longevity payments were not paid in Oct 2016 and April 2017 to CSEA employees who became eligible for a 5-year payment for the first time after March 31, 2016 and CSEA employees who became eligible for a 10-year payment for the first time after March 31, 2016 and continued to receive the 5-year amount. Per Chapter 165 of the Laws of 2017 which implemented the 2016-2021 Agreement between the State of New York and CSEA, these employees now will be eligible to receive the Oct 2016 and April 2017 Longevity payment. These will be paid in Pay Period 12L.

**Due to the expiration of the previous contract, April 2020 and 2021 LLS payments were not paid to PEF employees who became eligible for a five (5) or ten (10) year payment for the first time after 3/19/2019. Per Chapter 150 of the Laws of 2021 which implemented the 2019-2023 Agreement between the State of New York and PEF, these employees will now be eligible to receive the April 2020 and April 2021 LLS payment. In addition, the Agreement also provides for an increase to the five (5) and ten (10) year LLS amounts effective April 2019 and a new 15 year LLS payment effective April 2020.

* A side letter to the Agreement dated 10/19/16 states that employees who were eligible for a longevity payment in April 2019 shall continue to receive a longevity payment in each succeeding April, at the same rate received in April 2019 (as long as they remain eligible) until a successor Agreement is negotiated. The letter further states any employee who becomes eligible for a longevity payment for the first time after April 1, 2019 shall not receive the payment until a successor Agreement is negotiated.
