1. Look Up Your Union or Group Number

Your Union or Group is represented as a number in your Employee Profile in the table under Negotiating Unit.  

2. Find the Name of Your Union or Group By Its Number

Research Foundation

The Research Foundation for SUNY (RF SUNY) supports you with an exceptional range of benefits and services  to help you manage your life. If your Employee Profile displays Research as your affiliation with UB, then you are employed by SUNY RF.

Find Your Employee Type

Your employee type determines the benefits for which you are eligible.  

Employee Type Definition
Regular Employee You are a regular employee if you do not have a summer-only appointment, are not a full-time SUNY employee and are not a full-time SUNY student working part-time in an RF student title.
Graduate Student Employee You are a graduate student employed by the RF whose work coordinates with the fulfillment of academic requirements.

Parttime employees working less than 50% of a fulltime schedule are not benefits-eligible.

As part of its service to UB, the UB Foundation provides payroll administration for UB faculty and staff who are funded with UB Foundation resources.
