Moving and Relocation

Faculty and staff can request moving and relocation services within their department or during renovation or laboratory equipment moves on campus.

Designate a Move Coordinator

During a move, we recommend that one person in your unit is designated as the 'Move Coordinator.' This person will communicate with all campus personnel and vendors involved in the moving process.

    Faculty and staff can request service to move items on campus. Follow specific guidelines when moving furniture and non-hazardous equipment at UB.
  • Department Moves
    3/22/21
    Faculty and staff can request service to move an entire department on campus. Follow specific guidelines when moving furniture and non-hazardous equipment at UB.
  • Renovation Moves
    5/12/21
    Faculty and staff involved in a renovation project will be assigned a Project Coordinator to assist their move.
  • Moving or Releasing Labs
    9/16/22
    Laboratories and equipment in which hazardous materials have been used must be decontaminated prior to vacating, to make them ready for the next occupant, in compliance with federal and state regulations.
