Faculty and staff can request lock changes, key cutting and lock or door repairs for buildings on campus.

To Report Lost or Stolen Keys

Found, Missing, Stolen or Damaged Keys

Faculty and staff can request lock or key service for repairs, installation of new service or assistance with lost keys.

Found Keys

You can return found keys to Customer Service or to University Police Lost and Found.  

Missing Keys

Immediately report missing keys to your department coordinator or to Customer Service. Departments are responsible for the total cost of lock changes and replacement keys.

To request replacement keys:

  • Submit a new key request procedure for replacement keys. 
  • Submit a lock and key request to Customer Service for a lock change and replacement keys.

Stolen Keys

Immediately report stolen keys to your department coordinator or to Customer Service. If keys are not returned by a terminated employee or a student leaving the university, they are considered stolen.

  • After receiving a report of stolen keys, Customer Service will contact University Police.
  • The reporting department will file a police report detailing the circumstances of the theft.

Damaged Keys

Immediately conctact Customer Serivce if a key is broken off in a lock or if a key is malfunctioning.

  • Return damaged or broken keys to your department coordinator or to Customer Service.
  • A new key will be issued once Customer Service verifies the damage.

Requesting Service

The request form must contain the department head's signature before any request is approved.
