Ordering Instructions
Safety Shoes
Determine Eligibility
- Facilities employees must contact their supervisor to inquire if they are eligible for new safety shoes. Supervisors will then contact Customer Service. Employees should not contact Customer Service directly.
- Eligible employees will be placed on the Shoe Request List.
Safety Shoes Pick-up
- Go directly to the safety shoe and glasses store located in the John Beane Center Room 143A to meet with the safety shoe and glasses salesperson. The salesperson will verify that your name appears on an eligibility report. Safety shoes will not be issued to you if your name is not on the report.
- Show your UB ID card to the salesperson and sign the three-part safety shoes receipt.
- Safety shoes must be picked up within 3 months or your name will be removed from the eligibility report and your supervisor will be notified.
Safety Glasses
- Facilities employees should contact Customer Service either by calling (716) 645-2025 or by placing a work order request for safety glasses.
- Once the work order is generated, the employee can go directly to the safety shoe and glasses store located in the John Beane Center Room 143A to meet with the safety glasses salesperson. The salesperson will verify that your name appears on an eligibility report. Orders will not be placed until your name is on the eligibility report
- The safety glasses salesperson will let you know when your item(s) will be ready for pick up. They will always be picked up at the safety shoe and glasses store.
- Non-Facilities employees should contact Customer Service either by calling (716) 645-2025 or by placing a work order request for safety shoes or glasses.
- The work order must contain your name, account number, a dollar limit (there must be a note on the work order if there is no dollar limit) and an authorized signature.
- Once the work order is generated, you may go directly to the safety shoe and glasses store located in the John Beane Center Room 143A to meet with the safety shoe and glasses salesperson. The salesperson will verify that your name appears on an eligibility report. Orders will not be placed until your name is on the eligibility report
- The safety shoe and glasses salesperson will let you know when your item(s) will be ready for pick up. They will always be picked up at the safety shoe and glasses store.
