Student Engagement means more to us than just providing fun programs. Our office aims to offer fulfilling experiences that engage students in learning more about themselves, about others, and how they can be involved on and off campus.

Athletic Bands — including the UB Marching Band, Dazzlers and Color Guard — entertain crowds at popular events on- and off-campus throughout the year.
Community & Civic Engagement provides opportunities for students to be active participants in the UB community and throughout the Buffalo-Niagara region.
Buffalo Esports teams represent the university in high-level competitive play and provide students with opportunities to build critical thinking and strategy skills.
Fraternity and Sorority Life provides opportunities for students to be part of a community, have fun with friends, and learn valuable skills.
Leadership Education helps prepare students for lifelong success through a variety of programs that promote leadership skills, independence and problem-solving.
Pride and Traditions Programs promotes school spirit and pride through a variety of programs, events and experiences.
Student Governance and Organizations acts as a liaison between the student governments, and provides valuable support for the 500-plus clubs and organizations recognized at the University.
Student Mentorship Initiatives enables students to participate in experiential learning opportunities including unique career preparation initiatives.

Our signature opportunities often require a greater time commitment, but also include additional take-aways, such as: academic credit, internship placements, certificates, badges and resume-worthy experiences.
