Step 6: Learn about Year One

Year One supports you through your start at UB with programs, resources and guidance.

Helping new students navigate the transition to college.

Additional Resources

Help the student become an independent, self-confident decision maker, able to solve problems that arise in pursuit of their educational goals.

Friends and fun await outside of the classroom. Find a club, get in a workout or catch a movie with friends.
Life and Learning Workshops can help you adjust to life at UB, learn new leadership skills, or help you learn to manage your time.
The UB Seminar is the entryway to your UB education. Small in size and centered around critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and reflective discussion, you learn from distinguished faculty how to meet and manage the rigorous academic demands of our world-class university.
