First-Year and Transfer Students

New students making UB horns up hand gesture.

The New to UB process will introduce you to life as a UB student and prepare you for a successful start.

Submit your Housing Application

Before beginning the New to UB process outlined below, we strongly recommend you complete a Housing Application and $300 deposit if you plan to live on campus this fall.

Priority for selecting your on-campus housing location/room is based on the date you submit your Housing Application, so it is best to submit right away. You can make changes to your Housing Application preferences, including special interest or learning community housing, through the May 24, 2024 Housing Application deadline.
