Submit Your Housing Application

Before beginning the New to UB process outlined below, we strongly recommend you submit a Housing Application if you plan to live on campus. 

Priority for selecting your on-campus housing location/room is based on the date you submit your Housing Application, so it is best to submit right away.

For students starting at UB in Fall 2026, the housing application will open on January 22, 2026.

First-Year and Transfer Students

New students are required to complete the New to UB process, detailed in the steps below.

  • Step 1: Complete the Advisement and Orientation Form
    10/30/25
    Start by filling out the Advisement and Orientation Form* to provide key information to UB.
  • Step 2: Submit Immunization Records
    9/29/25
    Proof of immunization is required for all new students. 
  • Step 3: Register for Classes
    1/9/26
    Once you have completed Steps 1 and 2, academic advisors will help you register for classes.
  • Step 4: Participate in Orientation
    2/2/24
    Orientation is a required experience that sets you up for a successful start at UB. 
  • Step 5: Experience UB Welcome
    10/30/25
    Participate in an on-campus experience immediately before the start of classes.
  • Step 6: Learn about Year One
    10/2/25
    Year One supports you through your start at UB with programs, resources and guidance.
