Embark on a transformative journey of service and self-discovery before your college classes begin, as you engage in an immersive community service experience alongside fellow students who share your passion for making a positive impact.
Ready, Set, Buffalo program participants complete community service at local nonprofit agencies and explore Buffalo through sightseeing activities. Participants will also have the opportunity to develop relationships with their service-oriented peers, Student Engagement staff, and members of the Buffalo community, all before the first day of classes!
Our Ready, Set, Buffalo program is for first-year students and transfer students who are new to UB.
Space is often limited for this exclusive program and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Phone interviews will be offered to students who move forward in the application process.
The deadline to apply for the 2025 Ready, Set, Buffalo Program is July 11 at 11:59pm!
The Ready, Set, Buffalo program includes a variety of in-person experiences to help you get the most out of this program. More detailed information about housing, transportation, service projects, and social activities will be distributed to accepted participants.
