The SUNY Time and Attendance system applies the specific business rules for each employee group. Before navigating the system, you should understand the rules that apply to you. This quick online course will help you understand the rules.

Faculty and Staff Eligible To Use Electronic Time Sheets

Dateline: 2/1/2016

Most State faculty and staff use the SUNY online system.

Those who do NOT use the SUNY Time and Attendance system include:

  • Hourly-paid UUP employees
  • Adjunct Faculty
  • Certain Classified employees:
    • M/C Classified
    • Hourly-paid Classified
    • Departments who use KRONOS
    • University Police Officers (members of PBANYS & Security Services Unit)

Log in to UB EDGE using your UBITName and password to view the videos.

Viewing Requirements

The course requires that your computer meet one of the following requirements:

Classified employees who use the SUNY Time and Attendance system are required to use the Request Time Off feature. UUP and M/C Professional employees may also use the feature at the discretion of their departments. See your departmental Human Resources liaison to confirm whether or not your unit is utilizing this feature. 

To Change a Supervisor

It is important to inform Human Resources when a change in supervisor is required.

Logging In To the SUNY HR Portal

  1. Go to the SUNY HR portal
  2. Choose Buffalo Univ from the campus pull-down menu
  3. Click Login
  4. Enter your UBITName and password
  5. Click Login
  6. Click Time and Attendance in the Self Service menu
