Placing Calls on Hold with Jabber

Important:

Cisco Jabber will be retired as a UB service at the end of 2025. Use Cisco Call, integrated into Microsoft Teams, as a softphone option instead.

Placing a Call on Hold and Resuming the Call

When you put a caller on hold, they hear UB's on-hold messaging.

  1. While connected to a caller, click More in the active call window.
  2. Select Hold. The other party will be on hold and will hear UB's on hold messages and did-you-know facts.
  3. Select Resume when you want to return to the call.
