Cisco Jabber will be retired as a UB service at the end of 2025. Use Cisco Call, integrated into Microsoft Teams, as a softphone option instead.

All participants must use Jabber or another compatible client, and be part of the University at Buffalo. File and image transfer is supported with Cisco Jabber over Mobile and Remote Access thanks to Managed File Transfer.
To send a file, click the paper clip icon and select the file.
UB Box, UB’s cloud storage, is built into Jabber. Select the UB Box icon to select files.
Can I send files over a mobile Jabber client?
Yes. File and image transfer options are available at the bottom of the chat window.
