Strategic Leaders Badge

The Strategic Leaders Badge is designed to connect students with leadership opportunities across campus and beyond, leveraging popular existing programs and including experiences like internships or jobs as ways to continue leadership development.  

Students can expect to learn important leadership skills and strategies, such as effective communication, working with others, and leading in a global society. Learning and understanding these skills and strategies will empower you to create positive change within your communities and help you develop those skills that are so highly sought-after by employers.

The Strategic Leaders Badge is one of two badges offered as part of the Developmental Experiences Micro-Credential.

Schedule an advising appointment with one of our Student Engagement Ambassadors (SEAs) to learn more about how to get started and what it takes to complete this badge.

The first step in obtaining the Strategic Leaders Badge is to have a meeting with a Student Engagement Ambassador (SEA) who will walk you step by step through the program requirements.

Students will participate in three (3) of the following co-curricular experiences offered through Student Engagement. More information for these programs, including dates and times, can be found on UBLinked.

• Leadership Training Camp
• Virtual Leadership Academy
• LEAD UB Conference
• LEAD ON! Podcast
• SLIDE

After completing three of these five experiences, students will write and submit a personal leadership reflection on UBLinked. Once the reflection is submitted, students will schedule a final appointment with a Student Engagement Ambassador to review their personal leadership reflection and complete the post-experience assessment.
