Event Details

Open to Everyone – Students, Faculty, Staff, Alumni, Friends!

Oozefest started in 1984 as a way to help students de-stress before exams and bring the UB community together. Today, anyone can play at Oozefest, including students from UB and other schools, staff, faculty, alumni, and friends. It’s a great way to show your school spirit, hang out with your friends, and win trophies, gift cards, and other fun prizes.

Register for Oozefest

Student Engagement offers two types of ways for students, faculty, staff, and friends to register for Oozefest: teams and free agents. Teams can have a minimum of 6 players and a maximum of 8, while free agents can be single players who would like to join an open team.

All Teams MUST Pre-Register Online!

All teams and free agents must register for Oozefest in order to be able to play in the tournament. Registration information opens in early March each year. Check back then for more details on how you can register your team!

Volunteer for Oozefest

Want to volunteer? Volunteers are a huge part of the success of Oozefest. Without volunteers, Oozefest couldn’t happen! Volunteers are needed to help with set-up, check-in, distribute pizza, snacks, and water, referee the games, keep score, break down, clean up, and just help the event run smoothly.

Volunteer registration will open in early March of each year. Stay tuned for more information on how you can volunteer for this long-standing tradition!

All volunteers must attend one volunteer training – dates, times, and locations are located on the volunteer registration form.
