Late Move In

New students must typically move in by the first day of class. If you are not moving in by that day, please contact us so we can keep your room reserved for you.

Complete Move In by the First Day of Class

If you are moving in after after 5 p.m. on the first day of classes, you must log in to the Housing Portal and select Move In and Break Housing Requests from the menu, then select Notify Campus Living of Late Arrival. This form will be available prior to the first day of classes.

What Happens if You Do Not Move in or Complete a Late Arrival Request Form?

If you are attending UB and do not move in by the move-in date or notify us of a delay:

  • You will be responsible for all room charges
  • You will forfeit all associated room fees and deposits
  • You may be subject to room reassignment
