Jan. 9 - 10: Self-selection for new spring applicants
Jan. 20: Spring "early arrival" move-in begins for approved new students
Jan. 21: New spring student move-in
Jan. 23: Residence halls and apartments reopen
Jan. 24: First day of spring classes; all on-campus students must check-in by 5 p.m.
Jan. 25: Application opens at 10 a.m. for 2024-25 (all applicants)

February

Feb. 16: 2024-2025 Housing Application closes for returning students
Feb. 16: Renewal deadline for eligible locations
Feb. 16: Deadline for returning student accommodation requests
Feb. 26: Roommate Grouping begins for returning students

March

Mar. 1: Spring Break Application opens
Mar. 6: Self-selection beings for returning students
Mar. 14: Deadline to submit Spring Break Application
Mar. 16: Spring Break begins; residence halls and apartments close at 10 a.m.
Mar. 24: Spring Break ends; residence halls and apartments reopen at 12 p.m.
Mar. 25: Room Change process opens at 10 a.m. for returning students
Mar. 31: Cancellation deadline for returning students

April

Apr. 8: Room Change process closes at 11:59 p.m. for returning students
Apr. 15: Late Stay and Summer Applications open

May

May 19: Residence halls and academic-year apartments close at 5 p.m.
May 22: Last day of late stay
May 24: 2024-25 Housing Application closes for new students
May 24: Cancellation deadline for new students
May 24: Deadline for new student accommodation requests
May 24: Transitional housing move date
May 27: Start of summer school

June

June 12: Roommate Grouping begins for new students
Week of June 26: New student self-selection begins

July

July 10: Room Change process opens at 10 a.m.
July 17: Room Change process closes at 11:59 p.m.
July 31: Apartments close for students with full-year contracts at 5 p.m.

August

Aug. 15: Approved residents move from summer housing to fall assignments
Aug. 17: Fall "early arrival" move-in begins for approved students
Aug. 22: Move-in begins for new UB students - appointments required
Aug. 23: Move-in begins for returning UB students - appointments required
Aug. 26: First day of classes. Students must be checked in by 5 p.m.

October

Oct. 1: Application opens at 10 a.m. for spring 2025 housing (new applicants)
Oct. 14 - 15: Fall Break
