The application process for each of our positions can be unique. Please make sure to review the specific steps before submitting your application. 

Residence Hall Director & Complex Director Applicants

1. We anticipate the RHD and CD positions will be posted in early January 2018.

2. A complete application for both positions consists of a completed on-line application as well as of a cover letter, resume, and the names, titles, addresses, and telephone numbers of three current references. 

3. If a candidate is offered a screening interview, and they are attending a recruitment conference (OPE or WNYPE), we will try to pre-schedule with the candidates.

4. We anticipate that day long on-campus interviews will take place in two to four weeks for the top candidates from conference and phone interviews.

Application Instructions and Deadline: 

Application Instructions and Deadline: Full consideration will be given to candidates who have been admitted into the Masters of Higher Education Administration (HED) program or the Student Affairs Administration (SAA) program at the University at Buffalo.

• Preferred application deadline is January 15, 2018.

• Oshkosh Placement Exchange (OPE) participants encouraged to apply no later than March 2, 2018.

• Applications considered until class is filled.

• A cover letter outlining which GA positions you wish to be considered for (you may apply for multiple GA positions with one letter)

• A resume

• An unofficial transcript

• Names and contact information for one academic and two professional references

If you wish to be considered for GA positions outside of Campus Living, a formal application to the graduate program must be submitted by the January 15 priority deadline so that you may be considered for an on-campus interview on March 2, 2018.
