Timely submission of a new employee's paperwork allows the employee to sign up for orientations, decreases the delay in receipt of the first paycheck and begins the employee's career here at UB. 

  • Request a Line Number

    All state positions are assigned a unique line number when they are created. This number is required and utilized throughout the Human Resources (HR) systems both at the university and in the state systems.
  • Initiate an Electronic Personnel Transaction (ePTF)
    8/19/21
    The ePTF (electronic personnel transaction form) application is used to collect data about and process all state appointments for all funding sources. Data is used to hire new employees, reappoint existing employees and to make change to a current employee's status.
