Academic Year Faculty

Creating an Appointment — Academic Year Faculty

  1. Log in to ePTF
  2. Select Person Search > Select Person > Select Appointment
  3. Select Type of Change:
    1. Additional Commitment
    2. Commitment Type: Regular
    3. Payment Type: Winter Session
    4. Number of payments not needed
    5. Action is add/enter amount to be paid
    6. SAVE and enter funding. Skip over payments or an error will occur if you try to change it.
    7. Complete funding
    8. Submit for approval
  4. Beginning and end dates must be in the period 1/4/2024 and 1/19/2024

Compensation — Academic Year Faculty

Current Adjunct Instructors

If the Adjunct Instructor is working in the following spring semester, the Adjunct appointment must be completed first before the winter session appointment can be initiated because the employee uses the same line number as their adjunct appointment for their regular appointment. Please call Human Resources if you have an Adjunct Instructor ePTF that you need expedited.

  3. Select Type of Change:

  2. Select Person Search > Select Person > Select Appointment
  3. Select Type of Change:
    1. Additional Commitment
    2. Commitment Type: Regular
    3. Payment Type: Winter Session
    4. Number of payments not needed
    5. Action is add/enter amount to be paid
    6. SAVE and enter funding. Skip over payments or an error will occur if you try to change it.
    7. Complete funding
    8. Submit for approval
  4. Beginning and end dates must be in the period 1/4/2024 and 1/19/2024

Compensation — Current TAs and GAs

  • Payments for all winter session appointments will be paid on pay period 22 — check dated February 14, 2024.
  • Extra service payroll vouchers ARE NOT required.
  • Prior approval form IS required.

New Appointments for Winter

Creating an Appointment — New Employee for Winter Session

  1. Acquire a line from your department or use the maintenance application (if authorized) to choose a line
    1.    Use the titles of Lec 10 or Visiting Professor 10
  2. Log in to ePTF
  3. Select Type of Change:
    1. Add New Person
    2. Appointment Type: Summer/Winter
    3. Pay Basis: Fee
    4. Select correct job title
    5. Complete the remainder of the required fields
    6. Submit for approval
  4. Beginning and end dates must be in the period 1/4/2024 and 1/19/2024

Compensation — New Employee for Winter Session

Payments for all winter session appointments will be paid on pay period 22 — check dated February 14, 2024.
