Whether you need to find parking, get to class or go shopping, we can help point you in the right direction.
If you live in the residence halls, you can park in one of the nearby lots. Please note that a parking permit is required (weekend visitors can park in a residence hall lot without a permit after 3 p.m. Friday). Also, please note that freshmen who live in the residence halls are required to leave their vehicles in their residence hall lot or in a Park and Ride Lot during prime hours.
Unlike other universities, at UB all students are allowed to have a car on campus—including first-year students in residence halls.
Parking at each UB apartment complex is reserved for residents of those apartments at all times (a parking permit is required). While there is usually plenty of parking, please note that you are not guaranteed a spot by your apartment.
Bus and shuttle stops are conveniently located at (or near) all of UB’s official on-campus residence halls and apartment complexes.
UB buses and shuttles only go to official UB on-campus residence halls and apartments and specific designated off-campus locations. They do not go to private, off-campus apartments.
UB offers many resources for students who wish to bike on campus.
The UB Mall/Market Shuttle will take you shopping, to the mall or for groceries, once a week.
The UB Express Bus will get you home for the holiday recesses. Buses will take you to New York City, Binghamton, Syracuse and Albany.
