Radiation Safety Training

Each individual who plans on using open source radioactive material at the University of Buffalo must be adequately trained as required by state and federal laws.

Available Training

  • Radiation Safety Awareness
    6/24/22
    Mandatory annual training for personnel who access radiation posted areas (non-radiation workers).
  • Radiation Protocol Required Reading
    5/21/18
    Please read your radiation safety protocols and acknowledge that you understand the protocols and will abide by them. 
  • Laser Safety
    10/17/25
    Personnel who use Class 3b and 4 laser systems are required to take initial laser safety training.
