Scheduling Assistant

Use the Scheduling Assistant tool to identify conflicts for currently enrolled students. The tool simulates meeting pattern changes for classes or final exams, so schedulers can easily review the number of conflicts.

1. Navigate to the Scheduling Assistant in the Class Scheduling menu.

Class Scheduling tile > Class Scheduling Menu > Scheduling Assistant.

2. Select the “Meeting Patterns” tab to review alternate meeting patterns and potential conflicts for students.

Enter the Term (ex: 2259) and the Class Number and click Show Meeting Patterns. This will prefill the meeting pattern with the existing class meeting patterns.

3. Enter an alternative meeting pattern.

The Schedule Padding field can be adjusted to show the time between classes. The default is set to 0 minutes. It is recommended this field is updated to at least 10 minutes to allow time for students to travel between classes. Click on “Submit” to populate the list of conflicts. The tool will generate a list of all the students and conflicting classes.
