  • Academic Term Withdrawal
    12/2/25
Students may request an Academic Term Withdrawal when specific circumstances beyond their control have impacted their ability to succeed academically. If approved, all grades in a given term are changed to “W” (withdrawal because of illness or other special circumstances).
  • Block-Enroll-Merge
    12/2/25
Learn how to take a group (block) of students, merge them into one file and then enroll them into a specific class or section.
  • Class Enrollment Maintenance
    12/2/25
Class Enrollment Maintenance is a tool designed to swap students from one section to one or more sections. The student must meet the criteria to be enrolled in the new class section.
  • Cross-Registration
    12/2/25
Under SUNY Cross Registration and through the WNY Consortium, full-time UB students can cross-register (register without incurring additional tuition and fees) at other SUNY institutions, and students at other SUNY institutions can cross-register at UB. Advisor or academic departmental approval is required for cross-registration.
  • Departmental Registration (Action Dating)
    12/2/25
Learn how departments can drop/add students after the drop/add deadline.
  • Enrollment Appointment
    12/2/25
An enrollment appointment is a period of time assigned to the student during which they can begin registering for classes for the following spring or fall term.
  • Enrollment Request Search
    12/2/25
Because HUB keeps a record of every attempted enrollment action, the Enrollment Request Search screen allows you to view an audit of enrollment actions for a class section or student. This is useful for determining when a student enrolled in a course, who enrolled them (whether it was the student or a UB staff member), and which overrides were used, if any.
  • Exception Registration
    12/2/25
This form should only be used for cases of administrative error, advisement error or swapping sections or courses. This form should not be used for other circumstances, such as administrative cancellation, administrative withdrawal, financial hardship, students who miss the add/drop deadlines, students who are dissatisfied with their progress or grade in a course, or a student who wishes to drop for medical reasons. Please review the Academic Withdrawal policies and procedures for information on students wishing to withdraw from a term for medical reasons.
  • Troubleshooting Registration Restrictions
    12/2/25
Get solutions to common problems with registration, as well as answers to questions that students may have.
  • Override Enrollment Limits
    12/2/25
Learn how to override enrollment limits for a student in HUB. An example of when this is acceptable is when a student requires the credits in order to graduate on time (not early).
  • Post-Enrollment Requirement Checking (PERC)
    12/2/25
PERC is a process that will check student enrollment in courses against their completion of pre-requisites required for that course. It is an optional process that departments may run within HUB.
  • Quick Enroll
    12/2/25
Perform a single enrollment action on a single student by indicating what enrollment action to perform and which, if any, overrides to apply.
  • Wait List
    12/2/25
Wait List is a feature in HUB that allows departments to manage the enrollment process. However, the process behind Wait List in HUB is quite complicated, so we encourage faculty and staff to learn more about it.
