When Will My UB Global Request be Processed?

Due to the high advising volume, advisors will not be meeting with those asking about processing times or those requesting an expedite.

For current processing times, please review our website. If your request is outside of processing times, you can email us. Our team will review this information and follow up with you to provide an updated timeline for the request or guidance on next steps.

ISS offers in-person advising in 1Diefendorf (South Campus) by appointment only, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings.

Navigate Drop-ins

Drop-ins are only active in Navigate during hours listed above. If you try to access the queue outside of advising hours you will not see ISS as an option.

It is not possible to book a drop-in appointment. Advising during drop-in times is first-come, first-served.

Please allow 3-4 business days for a response. Please include your 8-digit UB Person Number in the subject line when emailing ISS.

Counting Business Days

The 1st business day is the first full day immediately following ISS receiving your email. Business days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. University holidays are not considered business days. 

Phone Assistance

Our main office line is (716) 645-2258. Our phone line is monitored by our student staff. Student staff can help connect you with resources and answer questions about using Navigate Drop-ins. Student staff do not answer immigration questions.

If you have immigration questions, connect with an ISS advisor using our advising services listed above.

Document Pick-Up

ISS offers pick-up for select document requests. If pick-up is available for your request you will see the option in the specific e-form on UB Global.

Requests that do not require a physical print-out are sent by email.

Accessible Routes for Visiting Us

Accessible parking

  • There are accessible parking spaces on the west side of Talbert Hall.
  • You can reach these spaces from Mary Talbert Way, between Fronczak and Capen Halls.

Outside approach

The shortest path of travel from an accessible parking space to a barrier-free entrance is 299 feet:

  • Park vehicle in an accessible parking space on the west side of Capen.
  • Proceed straight (east) and then slightly right (south) toward Capen.
  • The barrier-free entrance is to the right of the bicycle rack.
  • Once you enter Capen Hall, turn right (south) and then right (west) again at the next hallway to reach Talbert.
