For over 50 years, the Buffalo EOC has been serving the Western New York Community while assisting individuals meet their academic and career goals. With a state-of-the-art building located in downtown Buffalo, and tuition-free programming, the Buffalo EOC is an exceptional choice for many deciding to continue their education.
At the Buffalo EOC you are not just a number. We care about our students and give our attention to your personal goals. Buffalo EOC classes are tuition-free for those who qualify. The mission of all the EOCs throughout New York State is to promote the social and economic well-being of the academically and economically under-served residents of the State of New York by developing and maintaining quality educational and workforce training programs and services.
The Career Services Office assists in the employment search. In addition to offering workshops on resumé writing, interview skills, and job search techniques, the staff can perform a skills assessment to match you with suitable job openings. Career Services personnel, along with others at the Center, develop relationships with local businesses to help connect Buffalo EOC graduates with employment opportunities.
The BEOC maintains a College Connection Office where staff provides information and assistance with college admissions procedures, FAFSA completion, financial aid programs, choosing a major to name a few.
Each student is assigned an individual counselor to help support them through their Buffalo EOC journey. Counselors are available for class registration, problem solving and community referrals.
Each May, the Buffalo EOC holds a Commencement ceremony where program completers throughout the year are invited to participate and celebrate their accomplishments with family and friends. Students who successfully complete a program also receive a completion certificate endorsed by the Buffalo EOC and our sponsor The University at Buffalo.
