The Buffalo EOC has a wide array of services for our students to ensure their success. The goal of Student Support Services is to assist students through the completion of their academic or vocational training to employment.

Student Life is dedicated to helping students experience Buffalo EOC life at its fullest. We are committed to building leadership skills and promoting and engaging community and cultural diversity. Through our presentations, events, workshops, and resources, we provide students opportunities and experiences that show them how to grow personally and professionally in the community.

Our Services

  • Counseling & Advisement

    Counselors provide holistic advisement services that meet the different needs of our unique students. We are dedicated to establishing a student-focused environment that supports all aspects of student success including retention, completion as well as encouragement. Students will receive the needed support to meet academic and career goals.
  • Career Services

    At the Buffalo EOC, the classroom is just a starting point. Our students receive a full range of career services to prepare for externships, job placement, and career advancement. 
  • College Connections

    The Community and College Connections initiative is embedded within the Buffalo Educational Opportunity Center’s program offerings and is established to strengthen the participation and movement of eligible students toward college enrollment and retention.

Graduation

The Buffalo EOC holds a graduation ceremony every year to recognize student achievements.

  • Students who have successfully completed their academic or vocational program during the school term are encouraged to invite family and friends.
  • We invite University at Buffalo faculty and staff, University Center for Academic and Workforce Development representatives, as well as community partners to attend.
