Academic Review Pre-GED

EOC staff teaching students.

Academic Review classes are designed to assist students with improving their reading, writing and or math skills.

Why Take This Program?

Classes are available for individuals who are interested in increasing their academic skills to support the following:

  • Entering a High School Equivalency Preparation program
  • Entering a College Preparation program
  • College placement exams
  • Entering vocational programs
  • Obtain or maintain job placement
  • Self-fulfillment

Further Information

The Academic Review program includes continuum of remediation from basic education to pre-High School Equivalency Preparation. Day and evening courses in Reading, Writing, Math, Science and Social Studies are available.

Students are placed into classes by TABE scores. Pre-High School Equivalency Preparation students receive more intensified instruction in order to advance to the HSE Program or sit for the GED.

Upon successful completion, students earn:
