Buffalo Build Pre-Apprenticeship Program

Buffalo Build is a pre-apprenticeship program which offers foundational construction knowledge and skills needed to excel in the building trades. Students will explore multiple building trades and their respective career pathways which will enable them to select the trade that best suits their interests and skills. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be given priority consideration for direct entry to one of our partner trades.

Selection Process

Successful applicants must pass the questionnaire and interview stages of the selection process to be accepted into the program.

Upon successful completion, students earn:

  • EOC certification of completion
  • OSHA 10
  • First Aid
  • Green Construction
  • Flagger Certification
  • MC3 Certification

  • Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30 - 12:30

  • Program Length: 7.5 weeks

  • Course Delivery: In-person
Program Requirements

Before you start this class, you must:

  • Have a High School Diploma or Equivalency
  • Meet minimum TABE Reading and Math scores
  • 18+ yrs old
  • NYS resident
  • Able to lift 50+ pounds
  • Have reliable transportation
