This comprehensive program provides written preparation for permit testing, practical driving instruction, and support to help individuals secure their commercial driver's license (CDL). In collaboration with partners such as the Trucking Association of New York, Stevens Driving School, and Metro Bus & Rail, the Buffalo Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) serves as a premier resource for those seeking to launch their CDL careers.

  • Airbrake and Combinations
  • Simulator usage
  • Behind-the-wheel training
  • Job placement assistance

This program has open enrollment.

Additional Information

According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, CDL Drivers can expect a median annual wage of $57,440, or $27.62 per hour.

Upon successful completion, students earn:

  • Buffalo Educational Opportunity Center Certificate of Completion
  • Commercial Learner's Permit (CLP)
  • NYS CDL (Commercial Driver's License) for Class A and Class B
