Full and part-time state employees represented by UUP. Applicants must maintain their employment status with the universty for the duration of the course for which tuition is waived.
The waiver may be applied to any SUNY-sponsored, credit-bearing course. The course may be taken for credit or no credit. Individual instruction including thesis guidance is not eligible. One course per semester may be taken with the application of this waiver on a space available basis.
Community college courses are not eligible.
The full credit hour cost will be waived upon approval of this waiver. All fees will be charged to the employee. Any outstanding balances in Student Accounts must first be cleared before the waiver will be applied.
For University at Buffalo course waivers, the process may take several weeks.

When Human Resources approves your request, they will forward your application to the Office of the Registrar for course enrollment
When you are enrolled in the course, your application will be forwarded to Student Accounts for adjustment to your bill.

Employees must have at least six months of cumulative service prior to the beginning of the course for which they have applied.
The waiver may be applied to any SUNY-sponsored, credit-bearing course. The course may be taken for credit or no credit. Community college courses are not eligible.
Assistance is available for up to eight credit hours per semester or session not to exceed 15 credit hours per academic year as long as funding lasts.
A percentage of the full credit hour cost will be waived dependent upon your employment status with the university. All fees will be charged to the employee. Any outstanding balances in Student Accounts must first be cleared before the waiver will be applied.

This Program allows participants to save money for their selected beneficiary's qualifying higher education expenses at any eligible post-secondary school in the United States and abroad.
As a New York State employee, you may qualify to participate in the Federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).
The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on your direct loans after you have made 120 qualifying monthly payments under an accepted repayment plan and while working full-time for an eligible employer.

As part of the form completion, your employment will need to be certified by Human Resources.
Using a different address could cause delays in your employment verification.
You can print out a pre-filled PSLF form or download and print a blank PDF of the form.
If you choose to complete a downloaded PDF of the PSLF form, it must be submitted with acceptable signatures from both you and your employer.
