UB is strongly encouraging COVID-19 booster shots for those on campus who are eligible, but has not made them mandatory for students as it did with the initial round of vaccinations.
Employees returning to campus are encouraged to submit proof of their COVID-19 vaccination information and are reminded to participate in weekly surveillance testing.

State 10-month faculty members receiving a paycheck from September until June can request that their salary be paid throughout the year — over 26 pay periods instead of 21 pay periods.
Student employees who work during the summer and are not enrolled with at least six credit hours for the summer session can expect to see Social Security and Medicare withholding in their summer paychecks.
State 10-month faculty members and state 10-month teaching and graduate assistants can expect to see extra health insurance deductions taken to cover the summer months prior to their last payroll check for the academic year.
