Do not set anything in relation to e911. The 9line e911 system will automatically discover your device and determine your work location to the UB building and specific room for all UB documented wired network connections.
Manually add your location when physically present at that location using the steps found here <link to manually setting e911>
Open the Call Settings to confirm your preferred device is selected in the Audio Settings. These are independent of the settings in MS Teams and may not match.
1. In MS Teams click Call Settings in the upper right corner.
2. Click Audio in the left panel and select your desired device for Ringers and Alerts, Speaker, and Microphone. Use the Test radio button for each and adjust the settings as needed.
Important: The default Ringers and Alerts setting is All Devices and at high volume. You will want to adjust this appropriately for your office environment.
The Calling dock is a compact “floating window” that is recommended for staff who are responsible for multiple phone numbers within their organization. All inbound calls will ring and appear in your Recent Calls history of MS Teams.
By default, your personal line is used for making outbound calls. To use a different line, open the Calling dock:
1. Click on the ellipsis (. . .) in the upper right corner and slide the Calling dock toggle button to the right.
2. In the Calling dock, click on the handset icon in the upper left near your name and select the desired line
Note: This will remain as the selected line for making outbound calls until changed using the same steps. If you receive an inbound call, it will not change the selected line to use for outbound calls.
Tip: The Calling Dock can be automatically minimized by sliding it to the edge of your display.
