What we do for the UB community

IT Communication & Engagement (ITCE) informs the campus community about enterprise IT services through the UBIT website, social media, video and campaigns, and partnerships with campus communicators. The unit also maintains IT service documentation, supports usability and accessibility reviews and reports on key service indicators.

Who we support

  • Students, faculty and staff who need clear information about IT services and how to use them.
  • UBIT units that provide services and need communications, documentation and outreach support.
  • Campus communicators and partners collaborating on IT‑related messaging.

What we provide

  • Outreach and engagement via surveys, workshops, orientations and the UB Tech Talk video podcast.
  • News and updates about UB Information Technology services, including email newsletters.
  • Documentation and “how‑to” content for dozens of IT services on the UBIT website.
  • Instructional and promotional videos and signage for teaching stations and IT spaces.
  • Collection and publication of key performance indicators related to IT services.
  • Usability, accessibility and branding reviews for UBIT web applications

When you might work with us

  • You need to communicate an IT service change, launch or outage to members of the campus community.
  • You are developing or updating service documentation content.
  • You want a usability, accessibility or branding review for a UBIT web application.
