CSEA Administrative Assistant Traineeship

Acquire the coursework and training you need for the CSEA Administrative Assistant 1 job title.

The NYS and CSEA Partnership for Education and Training is offering several opportunities for CSEA-represented NYS employees to acquire the coursework they need to meet the training requirements for the Administrative Assistant 1 job title. Trainees will be required to take four mandatory and four elective courses in the following competencies:

  • Computer Skills and Technology - Microsoft Word Basics (mandatory) and one elective course
  • Interpersonal and Customer Relations - Customer Service (mandatory) and one elective course
  • Professionalism and Self-Management - The Organized Office Worker (mandatory) and one elective course
  • Verbal and Written Communication - Successful Business Writing (mandatory) and one elective course
