Bloodborne Pathogens Training

Environment, Health & Safety provides a 1.5 hour class for individuals with job duties that could cause them to come into contact with blood or other potentially infectious fluids.

Learning Outcomes

In order to reduce or eliminate the hazards of occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens, an employer must implement an exposure control plan for the worksite with details on employee protection measures. Also, individuals must have the appropriate training to work with such materials.

All lab workers including but not limited to:

  • Research Assistants
  • Graduate Assistants
  • Post docs
  • Visiting post docs 
  • Undergraduate Students
