User Roles

  • For Internal Customers - General Users

    Guidance for university customers who are not designated as cost approvers on accounts in Blue Services. These users will need to request access to the lab or group associated with their cost approver in order to engage with a service center.
  • For Internal Customers - PIs/Cost Approvers
    6/1/26
    Guidance for university customers who are PIs or cost approvers using Blue Services. PIs and cost approvers automatically receive a group within the system and can add members and assign account permissions as needed.
  • For External Customers
    6/1/26
    Guidance for customers external to the university using Blue Services. External users will need to create an iLab account in order to engage with a UB service center.
  • For Service Center Administrators
    6/1/26
    Access guides and support resources for using Blue Services. These materials are intended for service center administrators managing operations, billing, users and service workflows.
