Setting Speed Dials

Valid characters are 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, * and #.  

Method 1: Use the Self Care Portal

  1. Log into Self-Care Portal.
  2. Enter your UBITName as the username.
  3. Enter your password. 
  4. Select the desired line from the left-hand pane.
  5. Click the Phone Settings tab.
  6. Enter a number and a label, such as Home, for a speed dial number on your phone.
  7. Click Save.

Method 2: Use Your 8800 Series Desk Set*

* Speed dial numbers set via your desk set may be replaced with future updates or changes to the VoIP system.

  • Press and hold unused line key button.
  • You will be presented with a screen where you can key in speed dials.

Dialing Speed Dials

Using Speed Dial Button

  • Press the Speed Dial button for the desired phone number.

Using Soft Key

  • Without picking up the handset, press the abbreviated dialing number (e.g. 1) from the phone keypad for the Speed Dial.
  • Press the AbbrDial soft key

Transferring calls to an abbreviated or speed dial is not a supported UB feature.
