Proposed Rule Update

Dear Student,

We want to inform you that the proposed rule to end admittance of F & J for the duration of status has been submitted to the Office of Management and Budget, meaning it is undergoing final financial review. It can be expected to be published soon, likely within the coming weeks.

The new rule will take effect 60 days after the publication date.
 
We understand that the uncertainty surrounding these changes may be stressful, and we want to minimize that stress as much as possible.
 
Here is what you can expect from ISS:

1. Our advising services will continue to be available all summer, including additional in-person advising services beginning in June. 
2. We will host workshops after the rule has been published, educating you on what you need to know and how the new rule may impact you and your future plans.
3. We will contact the students who may be most impacted by the new rule directly.
4. We will continue to update our News & Alerts pages, including FAQ, to keep you informed

While we will not have specific guidance related to the new rule to share until it has been published and reviewed, please know that we will keep you updated as we do. We are here to support you through this period of change.
