Beginning May 4, 2024, you will no longer be able to use an old version of Zoom when joining and hosting meetings at UB. Update your personal devices today to avoid disruptions, especially with finals right around the corner.
To ensure your Zoom app has the best security and all the latest features, Zoom is requiring customers to install the most recent app version 5.15.5 (available for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iOS, Intune) every three months. You must update the app by May 4th in order to continue using it.
Although you may have already updated the application, double check that all of your devices are up to date with the latest update, version 5.15.5. To check which version you have, follow Zoom’s instructions.
UB-owned devices are automatically updated by departmental IT staff.

Keeping Zoom updated also means you’ll enjoy enhanced features like Zoom AI Companion, Whiteboards, and all-screens mode, which allows meeting participants to share their screens simultaneously.
If you can't update the app, see UBIT's instructions on how to start or join a restricted Zoom meeting from a web browser.
