The process and timeline for getting registered for classes vary depending on your major and/or academic advising center. The chart below summarizes the process and timeline for each advising unit. If you have not completed steps 1 and 2, you must complete those before course registration.
To find your timeline, choose the semester you will start at UB from the tabs below, then utilize your advisor code and student type. Your advisor code is assigned after you submit your Orientation Data Form; check your confirmation email to learn your advisor code. If you change your major, your advisor code may change.

MG School of Management | Beginning in late November, MG advisors will partially register students for classes (based on Math and English placement) and will email information for how to view the course schedule in the HUB Student Center. Students are then expected to finalize their schedules by adding the UB Seminar within five days of receiving this schedule. SPHHP School of Public Health and Health Professions | Beginning in December, SPHHP advisors will register students for spring classes within one week of receiving the Orientation Data Form. Students will then receive an email that includes:
(2) a request to register for the UB Seminar
(3) an invitation to attend a group advising session with their academic advisor on January 26 or 27. Dates/times of session will vary by academic advisor; details will be included in the email
| Beginning in December, SPHHP advisors will email students within one week of receiving the Orientation Data Form to schedule a personalized, 1-hour advising appointment to discuss spring class registration.
