Transfer Admissions

In order to be considered for transfer admission to UB, we recommend that students present a strong record of college study, with a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. It should be noted, however, that requirements may vary depending on academic program.

Please note that some departments have supplemental admissions criteria, higher GPA requirements, departmental application deadlines and limited capacity.

Academics Supplemental Admissions Criteria

Which credentials are considered?

  • If you’ve completed more than 24 college credit hours at the time you apply, we review your previous college academic record.
  • If you’ve completed fewer than 24 college credit hours at the time you apply, we will review your high school transcript in addition to your previous college academic record.
