As a trusted advisor, you help students make one of the most important decisions of their lives. At UB, we’re committed to providing you with the information and resources you need to confidently guide students toward a top-tier education at New York’s flagship university.
We value our agent partners and the important role they play in helping international students find the right fit and take the next step toward a UB education.
UB has a formal application process for agencies that wish to become approved recruitment partners.
UB gives strong preference to those that hold certification from AIRC (The Association of International Enrollment Management) or ICEF.
If you are interested in partnering with UB, submit the Agent Organization Inquiry Form. All inquiries are reviewed once each spring, and selected agencies will be invited to complete a formal application.
One of the best things about UB is that, as a public institution, we offer an excellent education at a fraction of the cost of private colleges and universities of equal prominence. UB is consistently recognized by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance as a Best College Value for our high graduation rate, low average student debt and abundant institutional aid. In fact, UB offers the most valuable merit scholarships in the SUNY system.
Admission to the University at Buffalo is based on a holistic review of each student’s academic record and application materials.
UB supports SUNY’s decision to make the submission of SAT and ACT test scores optional for undergraduate admissions consideration. Students can share their scores as part of their application if they choose by selecting this option on their application. Every application is reviewed holistically, regardless of testing.
Below are the minimum scores to be eligible for consideration for admission to UB's undergraduate programs.

Graduate applicants are those who have completed, or are in process of completing, the equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution, either in the U.S. or abroad, and are applying to a graduate or professional program of study (Master's, LLM).
Each graduate program establishes its own application and admission standards and deadlines, which may differ from program to program even within the same College/School.
