The Office of the Vice President for Research and Economic Development and its coordinating units support campus-wide research and entrepreneurial enterprise. In helping faculty achieve research excellence, they work on proposals from concept through submission, review regulations to ensure compliance, and offer training and assistance. They encourage entrepreneurs, nurture start-ups and facilitate innovation in ways that benefit the university as well as the local and global community.
"Research drives us. Whether it results in beneficial inventions and technologies, discoveries that inform our teaching, or creative scholarship, it is core to UB's faculty, staff and students."
