CSTEP offers robust programming, resources and opportunities with a focus on your success and career readiness, connecting you with resources that make a difference. Here's how:

  • Paid Research & Internship Experiences. Gain research and career experience, work with a faculty mentor and receive a stipend.
  • Graduate School Preparation. Personal statement review; application fee waivers for UB and select schools, and Kaplan Access for standardized test prep, including the GRE, MCAT, LSAT, PCAT, OAT, DAT and FE.
  • Conference Funding. We offer conference funding opportunities that build resumé skills. 
  • Workshops and Seminars. Learn from UB and community experts.
  • Summer Research Program.  Intensive, immersive 8.5-week research program.
  • Academic and Career Support. Goal setting, problem-solving, and mentorship. 
  • Free Tutoring. Individual and group sessions offered via the TASS. 
  • Educational Trips and Tours. Academic, professional and cultural excursions.
  • Campus Health Educators (CHE). Campus Health Educators (CHEs) partner with ConnectLife to raise awareness and educate the UB community on the importance of blood and organ donation.
  • CSTEP Connect. One-time, 30 minute-1 hour remote mentoring opportunity with alumni over winter break.
