Liberty Partnerships

Providing academic, cultural, social and emotional learning opportunities.

Liberty Partnerships Established in 1988 by NYSED.

University at Buffalo Liberty Partnerships Program serves over 365 Buffalo area students in grades 5-12 at our partner schools:

  • Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts
  • Math, Science & Technology Preparatory School
  • Marva J. Daniel Futures Preparatory School

By engaging with our students in their school community and connecting them to the University at Buffalo, we provide access to resources to support their personal and academic growth.

Our Mission

The mission of the Liberty Partnerships Program at the University at Buffalo is to provide interventions, experiences and services that will be transformative, and help retain and ultimately graduate students who have been identified as at risk for dropping out of school.

Our Vision

We strive to position all of our students to be self-sufficient and meaningful contributors to their family, community and society. We do this by combining in-school, summer and special programming with our partnering schools. Our programs are open to all students, regardless of economic, social or personal circumstances.
