Read&Write

Read&Write is Texthelp's text-to-speech software that provides help with reading text out loud, understanding unfamiliar words, researching assignments and proofing written work.

Ways to use

Download

  1. In a web browser, go to the Everway website: https://www.everway.com/products/read-and-write-education/?od=th
  2. Click Sign in
  3. Scroll down and select Read&Write from the Product sign in menu
  4. Click Education
  5. Click Get up and running with Read&Write
  6. Click Installation
  7. Click Continue
  8. Check the box that matches your operating system
  9. The Continue button will appear. Click Continue
  10. Check Unlimited
  11. Click Continue
  12. Check Microsoft 365
  13. Click Finish
  14. Under Download Products, click Read&Write
  15. Install the software:
    • For Windows, download and run the installer and setup package
    • For Mac, click both files to download, unpack by double-clicking and then drag the Read&Write icon, which resembles a purple puzzle piece, to your Applications folder. 
  16. Return to the Everway website, scroll to the top and click My Account
  17. Click Sign in
  18. Click Sign in with Microsoft 
  19. Selct Work or School Account
  20. Enter your UBITName password
  21. Enter your justification for using the software and click Request Approval
  22. You should receive email in your UB email with approval, and can then use Read&Write
