Important Installation Notes

  1. Stay connected to the Internet while installing Maple.
  2. Copy the purchase code from the .txt file; you must enter it later in the installation.
  3. Select Single User license.
  4. Use your UBITName@buffalo.edu address when completing the email address registration field.

Important Installation Notes

  1. Stay connected to the Internet so you can activate your license immediately after installing Maple.
  2. When the Maple installer opens, in order to view the Purchase Code double-click the file:
    • Maple2026_PurchaseCodes_student_FY25-26.txt or
    • Maple2025_PurchaseCodes_student_FY25-26.txt
  3. Double-click the installer. Follow the usual installation steps, except as noted below:
    • Choose Single User License when prompted.    
    • Enter the Purchase Code contained in
      Maple2026_PurchaseCodes_student_FY25-26.txt or
      Maple2025_PurchaseCodes_student_FY25-26.txt
      that you opened earlier, and select No.
    • Enter all requested information in the required registration fields (identified in red and with an asterisk.)

Maple for Linux

If Maplesoft doesn't officially support your Linux distribution, we recommend you switch to a distribution that is officially supported.

Be sure to specify:

  • Your operating system (Windows, Mac or Linux)
  • The name of the software you are ordering (Maple)
  • The software version that you need

Maple is available to:

  • UB Students who have paid the Comprehensive fee
  • UB Faculty
  • UB Faculty Student Association employees
  • UB Geographic Full time Faculty
  • UB State employees (UUP, CSEA, MC, PEF)
  • UB Research Foundation employees
  • UB Foundation employee
