This workshop focuses on forging strategies designed to eliminate race-based inequities in the Buffalo-Niagara Region. This workshop will function as a brainstorming session on strengthening the movement to eliminate health inequities in the region. This workshop conceptualizes "health disparities" as "health inequities," spawned by systemic structural racism. The workshop will discuss the importance of how the "health inequity problem" is framed and brainstorm strategies that we can use to eliminate health inequities. This workshop is the platform for discussing ideas for bringing about "real" change in the healthcare system.
