The workshop introduces participants to the functionality of clinical decision support systems, that is, how the programs deliver users with the knowledge, information and skills needed to improve health and ensure the delivery of quality healthcare.             

We will review how clinical decision support systems, serve as a key function of health information technology by: increasing the quality of care, enhancing health outcomes, helping to avoid errors and adverse events, improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing provider and patient satisfaction.

This workshop series is free and open to all students, fellows, faculty and staff at UB and the Buffalo Translational Consortium.
