All UB apartments are on North Campus (or right across the street), giving you easy access to classes, labs, concerts and more.
UB’s North Campus is located in suburban Amherst, named one of America's safest cities. It includes state-of-the-art academic and research spaces, student residence halls and apartments, the Student Union, athletic venues and administrative offices as well as abundant green spaces, Lake LaSalle and Letchworth Woods.
UB’s South Campus on Main Street is a Western New York landmark situated in a residential neighborhood in North Buffalo. It is home to classic ivy-covered buildings and cutting-edge research and teaching facilities. Across the street from restaurants, a grocery store and a movie theater you can enjoy the benefits of city living with the safety and support of living on-campus.
When you live on campus, you're close to everything UB has to offer. You can walk or bike to class, use our free shuttles that run year-round, or bring your own car. With the MetroRail on South Campus and major bus routes serving many campus locations, you can be at a hockey game at Harbor Center or a concert at Canalside in no time.

All students are allowed to have a car on campus—including first-year students in residence halls. Although we don't think you'll need one, you can park your personal vehicle in our secure lots.

You can apply for on-campus housing after you have been admitted to UB. All applications are submitted on-line—you typically do not have to mail in anything unless we need documentation for special accommodations or other requests. For new and transfer students, fall housing is assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, which means the earlier you apply, the better your chances will be to get your preferred choice.
